SITGES, BARCELONA

We know many of you are travelling far and wide for this day which we are unbelievably grateful for. But we also hope it provides an excuse for people to extend their stay and enjoy what the beautiful Catalonia region of Sitges, Barcelona has to offer.

We will be staying in the area from the 1st - 8th Oct, so have provided a list with the best spots that we will be eating, drinking and exploring while staying in Sitges. We also included a few of our favorite Barcelona recommendations as its only a 35 min drive away!

SITGES

La Zorra - Great paella and a large natural wine selection (get Álvaro’s recommendations), with outdoor seating
El Cable - Authentic Tapas bar with the best patatas bravas.
Can Laury - Nice seafood Mediterranean restaurant.
Nem - Classic Catalan tapas with a modern asian twist. Recommend the ceviche
La Salseta - Cozy Mediterranean restaurant using produce from the Garraf region, plus a nice wine selection.

BARCELONA

(35 - 40 mins away from Sitges)

Quimet & Quimet - Tapas served in a boisterous, snug, historic bar boasting over 500 bottles of wine.
La Mundana - Spanish tapas with an international twist, like Korean ribs & Iberian tonkatsu, in a sleek space.
Besta Barcelona - Modern Mediterranean dishes with the freshest seafood.

Wylie Brewery Sitges - Local brewery serving up crisp cold ones
Papaya Beach Sitges - Good little beach bar to have drink at after laying in the sun!
MiM - Rooftop bar in hotel, cool area and wine prices actually not too expensive!
Vivero Beach Club Restaurant - Nice space on the water with a good view. Drinks are a bit pricey.
L'Angelus - If you want to explore surrounding areas, this is a great wine bar with delicious tapas

WINERIES

There are so many great wineries around Sitges, its hard to list them all. Our venue provided these suggestions but see here for an even bigger list.

Finca Viladellops - Lovely winery to visit for a tasting surrounded by olive trees, almond trees and vineyards,.
Gramona - It’s one of the “classic” sparkling wine families in the area but they have a biodynamic farm with animals. The tours are great, their facilities beautiful and their sparklings are top notch
Parés Baltà Winery - Biodynamic farm, 2 female winemakers, great sparkling and still wines, very good tours team

Places to explore

SITGES + SURROUNDING AREA

All the beaches! Our favourite - Platja de l'Estanyol.
Stroll along the beach promenade and walk in the alleyways behind the church to find hidden bars/shops. It’s beautiful!
Visit Palau Maricel it is one of the most emblematic buildings in Sitges (Picture above)
Cycle around the vineyards of the Penedès wine region. Half or Full day by Bikeemotions
There is an amazing mountain range called Montserrat with epic views and a lovely monastery. Here is a ton of information about it. You can get there via car or you if you feel up to it you can hike!
Garraf - Cutest beach town close to Sitges. You can hike to and from Sitges
